Erin Houchin began serving as the representative for Indiana’s 9th congressional district in 2023 after replacing Trey Hollingsworth. She previously served in the Indiana Senate from 2014 to 2022 and holds a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University Bloomington. Born in Salem, Indiana in 1976, Houchin continues to reside there while representing her district at the federal level.
