Congresswoman Erin Houchin, representing Indiana's 9th District, has introduced a resolution urging the Department of Justice to release the Epstein files within a month. This call emphasizes maintaining protections for victims.
Rep. Houchin expressed her support for transparency regarding the Epstein files and aligned herself with former President Trump's efforts in this matter. "I have always supported full transparency when it comes to the Epstein files, and I’m glad to back President Trump in that effort," she stated. She criticized an amendment proposed by Democrats in the Rules Committee as "nothing more than a stunt—reckless and completely lacking the victim protections this issue demands."
Houchin, who previously worked as a case manager in child protective services, highlighted her experience with victims of abuse. "I’ve seen the trauma these children endure," she said. She firmly opposed what she described as political gamesmanship by Democrats and media allies that could potentially harm victims further.
The resolution outlines collaboration with the Trump Administration to ensure file release within 30 days while safeguarding victim protections and fulfilling public demands for transparency.
