Congresswoman Erin Houchin, representing Indiana's 9th district since 2023, has been active on social media, sharing updates and opinions related to her work. Houchin, who succeeded Trey Hollingsworth in the U.S. Congress, has a background in the Indiana Senate from 2014 to 2022. Born in Salem, Indiana in 1976, she is an alumna of Indiana University Bloomington.
On March 17, 2025, Houchin expressed enthusiasm about her office decor by posting: "Love the new addition to my office!"
The following day, March 18, she addressed agricultural policy concerns with a tweet advocating for farmers' access to advanced options for livestock health: "Farmers deserve access to the best options to keep their livestock healthy. They shouldn’t be held back by outdated bureaucratic hurdles. This bill will help level the playing field and give American producers access to the same advancements available in other countries."
Continuing her focus on agriculture on March 19, Houchin thanked local farmers and producers: "Thank you to the farmers and producers of IN-09 for your commitment to feeding America. Your long hours and hard work are truly appreciated. The agricultural community is the heartbeat of our district!"
