Congresswoman Erin Houchin, representing Indiana's 9th district since 2023, has been active on social media discussing legislative priorities and engaging with constituents. Houchin, who succeeded Trey Hollingsworth in Congress, previously served in the Indiana Senate from 2014 to 2022. Born in Salem, Indiana, she holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University, Bloomington.

On February 6, 2025, Congresswoman Houchin expressed her support for the HALT Fentanyl Act by stating: "I look forward to voting YES on the HALT Fentanyl Act in memory of those who lost their lives to this deadly drug."

Later that day, she commented on former President Trump's leadership: "You can question President Trump’s methods, but it’s hard to question the success he’s already had. Americans once again have a Commander in Chief who is leading with bold proposals and strength."

Additionally, Houchin invited constituents to participate in Staff Mobile Office Hours through her team: "Join my team today for Staff Mobile Office Hours! They will be there to help with any questions or issues you may have about navigating federal agencies."
