Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Erin Houchin has announced the passage of three significant appropriations bills aimed at enhancing national security, supporting allies, and ensuring the safety and well-being of Americans.

The Department of Homeland Security Appropriations Act (H.R. 8752) focuses on bolstering border security measures and removing dangerous criminals. This legislation addresses threats from China, strengthens national security, and supports American values.

"By passing H.R. 8752, we are taking concrete steps to protect our borders and ensure the safety of our citizens," said Congresswoman Houchin. "This bill is crucial for maintaining our national security, and I hope the Senate will swiftly pass it."

The second bill, H.R. 8771, aims to deter America's adversaries while supporting allies and promoting American values both domestically and internationally. It reallocates funds from climate initiatives and bureaucratic organizations to prioritize protecting Americans.

H.R. 8774, known as the Defense Appropriations Act, seeks to enhance America's defense capabilities by countering the Chinese Communist Party, investing in military innovation, and supporting servicemembers and their families. The bill also targets the flow of fentanyl into the country.
