Last Weekend Of Summer Fun
It’s the last weekend of Summer Fun in New Albany before Fall starts on September 22nd! There’s something to do for everyone this weekend, so be sure to make it to some of these wonderful, family-friendly community events happening over the weekend! Events include the historic and educational cemetery tours from STORIES BEHIND THE STONES, Develop New Albany’s annual TACO WALK, St Mary’s MULTICULTURAL FESTIVAL, and River City Races DOWNTOWN DOUBLER!
Go soak up that last bit of SUMMER SUN before Spooky Season and Pumpkin Spice Lattes return.
Friday September 16th & Saturday September 17th
STORIES BEHIND THE STONES, presented by Friends of Fairview Cemetery
The 12th Annual Stories Behind the Stones event will highlight veterans from the American Revolution through the Spanish-American War whose final resting place is Fairview Cemetery. This interactive, 60-minute tour consists of a guided ½ mile walk around the cemetery. The first three tours of each day will have golf cart tickets available for those who may have difficulty with the route. Funds raised from this event help go towards maintenance and special projects for the historic cemetery.

Saturday September 17th
TACO WALK, presented by Develop New Albany
The Taco Walk is back! This family-friendly favorite event returns for another year in downtown New Albany. Participants can purchase a “Taco Ticket” package and trade tickets for tacos at up to 15 participating local restaurants! MULTICULTURAL FESTIVAL, presented by St. Mary of the Annunciation
St Mary's Multicultural Festival is a family fun-filled event, including a kids game area, prize booth, live entertainment, food vendors, and great community building! Everyone is welcome! The event kicks off Saturday at 4pm at St. Mary’s (415 E 8th Street).

Sunday, September 18th
DOWNTOWN DOUBLER, presented by River City Races
River City Races is bringing the Downtown Doubler back to the New Albany Amphitheater! This event is a 30k/15k/8k/4k that fits great into your fall training schedule, whether you’re running a half, full, or a tri! All distances start at 7:30am and finish at the new Albany Amphitheater, running along the Ohio River Greenway on the New Albany Shoreline.
