Last night at the monthly Scottsburg Fire meeting Mayor Amick presented the Scottsburg Fire & Rescue with a canvas displaying photos from the Vails Lumber Company fire earlier this year. A couple weeks ago the City of Scottsburg honored those departments that assisted in the fire and last night the Mayor was able to present our local department with their well-deserved award. The Scottsburg Fire & Rescue has several dedicated firefighters; this memory will be displayed for years as part of the fire museum.
Thank you again to all who assisted in the firefight and we are very proud of you and your dedication to our community.
