Three New Firefighters Join The Clarksville Fire Department

Three New Firefighters Join The Clarksville Fire Department

The ranks of the Clarksville Fire Department continue to grow with the addition of three new firefighters.  Kendall White, Steven Underwood, and Dylan Abramson were all sworn in by Judge Jimmie Guilfoyle at Tuesday night’s meeting of the Clarksville Town Council.

Kendall White comes to Clarksville after serving as a firefighter with the Georgetown Fire Department, as well as the Indianapolis International Airport Fire Department.  His career in firefighting began in 2018 when he joined the Indiana National Guard as a firefighter in 2018.

Steven Underwood joins the CFD after an earlier career in law enforcement.  He first served as a Corrections Officer with the Floyd County Sheriff’s Department before becoming a Police Officer for Louisville Metro Police.  Although Underwood is new to CFD, this isn’t his first time to the rescue side of emergency response.  At the age of 18, Underwood earned his certification as an EMT and worked for Yellow Ambulance for several years.

Dylan Abrahamson is just beginning his career as an emergency responder with the Town of Clarksville.  He says he is looking forward to joining the team, and he is thankful to the Town for giving him the opportunity to serve.  Abrahamson says when he isn’t at work, he has his hands full with his 18-month-old son Rhett and enjoys spending time with his wife Kacy.

The Town of Clarksville would like to welcome our newest firefighters to our community.
