Indiana American Water (IAW) has notified the City of New Albany of a $1.1 million utility investment along Main Street. IAW will be replacing an aging pipe that was installed in the 1930s with 12-inch High Density Polyethylene pipe that should serve the neighborhood for years to come. Crews will be working as quickly as possible to shorten the length of any temporary inconveniences like utility shut-off times and traffic interruptions. Please read the attached documents for more information from Indiana American Water regarding the project, or please call Indiana American Water’s project representative, Jerry Richmond, at 317-716-5803.
“I want to thank Indiana American Water for updating their aging infrastructure underneath our Main Street,” stated Mayor Jeff Gahan. “This is perfect timing as we prepare to begin construction on the next phase of Main Street renovations later this summer.”
