Floyd County recently issued the following announcement.
The Floyd County Soil & Water Conservation District Board of Supervisors would like to invite you to participate in their 74th Annual Meeting. The meeting will be held on Monday, February 21st at the Pineview Government Center located at 2524 Corydon Pike, Suite #104 starting at 6:00 p.m.
Supervisors will make an accounting for the district’s activities and finances since the last annual meeting. An election for 2 supervisor positions will be held. The board will present a Forestry Award as well as Conservation Steward Awards. There will be no guest speaker nor will there be any food served.
In order to safely distance in the room, in-person attendance will be capped at 25 people. RSVP is mandatory and will be handled on a first-come first-served basis for attendance. The meeting will also be live streamed for those not wishing to attend in person but still wanting to participate. A link can be re-quested by contacting the district office, (ajackson@floydcounty.in. gov). Only Floyd County residents can participate in the election, but everyone is welcome to join the meeting.
