City of Jeffersonville issued the following announcement on Feb 25.
PARTNERS IN PROSPERITY: Mayor Moore was thrilled to join Greater Clark County Schools at Wilson Elementary as Burlington, the national off-price retailer, through its partnership with the national non-profit organization, AdoptAClassroom.org, donated $10,000 towards school supplies in celebration of its new store now open on Veterans Parkway.
This initiative goes right along with Mayor Moore’s vision for 2020 as he mentioned in his State of the City address. Now he’s asking for other businesses to step up to the plate.
“Follow the example of Burlington,” Moore said. “Our greatest opportunities happen when we forge partnerships. It’s those partnerships that will distinguish Jeffersonville from its neighbors.”
