Congresswoman Erin Houchin, who represents Indiana’s 9th district in the U.S. Congress, has recently used her social media platform to comment on federal spending priorities, government funding votes, and sports developments.
On October 15, 2025, Houchin stated, "Tax dollars spent on illegal migrants exceeded that of pregnant women, children, elderly and the disabled during the Biden administration. The One Big Beautiful Bill Act removed these provisions, which Senate Democrats are fighting to include, among other Medicaid items, in".
Two days later, on October 17, 2025, Houchin addressed government funding actions by Congress: "House Republicans have voted to fund the government. Democrats have voted 11 times to keep it shut down. Here’s the truth https://t.co/5hDgLg9mKB".
In between these political statements, on October 16, 2025, Houchin commented on a sports topic with a brief message: "The Cignetti era continues! https://t.co/W7SzVlZUAA".
