Congresswoman Erin Houchin, who represents Indiana’s 9th district in the U.S. Congress, recently used her social media platform to comment on current political developments and local engagement.

On October 9, 2025, Houchin posted about a media appearance: "Joining @RealAmVoice at 6pm ET to discuss the Democrats’ government shutdown—tune in!" On October 10, she addressed legislative matters regarding federal spending and immigration policy, writing, "Democrats are trying to undo key parts of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act to spend nearly $200 billion of your tax dollars on healthcare for illegal immigrants. Here’s how

Erin Houchin has served in Congress since 2023 after replacing Trey Hollingsworth as representative for Indiana’s 9th district. She previously served in the Indiana Senate from 2014 to 2022. Born in Salem, Indiana in 1976, Houchin is an alumna of Indiana University Bloomington with a Bachelor of Science degree.
