On August 3, 2025, Houchin announced her appearance on national television to discuss current economic topics. She wrote, "Joining Fox News at 3PM! We’ll cover the latest job numbers, President Trump’s strong tariff strategy, and what it all means for the 2026 midterms. Tune in! "
The following day, August 4, she credited former President Donald Trump with recent positive trends in employment and economic performance. In her post, she stated, "Thanks to President Trump, our economy is BOOMING. We’ve gained over half a million jobs since he took office. Second-quarter GDP growth exceeded expectations, driven by pro-growth policies and successful new trade deals that put America first."
On August 5, Houchin turned her attention to local industry during a visit to Geo-Flo in Bedford, Indiana. She commented on the company’s contributions to technology and regional development: "Had a great visit to Geo-Flo in Bedford! Erin Houchin has represented Indiana’s 9th District since replacing Trey Hollingsworth in 2023. Before serving in Congress, she was a member of the Indiana Senate from 2014 to 2022 and holds a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University Bloomington. Born and residing in Salem, Indiana since her birth in 1976, Houchin continues to emphasize both national policy impacts and local business achievements as part of her legislative priorities.
