Congresswoman Erin Houchin, who represents Indiana’s 9th district in the U.S. Congress, has recently used her social media platform to highlight legislative achievements and community engagement in southern Indiana.
On July 28, 2025, Houchin addressed government health care spending in a post stating, "2.8 million people have been double-dipping on government health care, costing Americans $14 billion. Two days later, on July 30, she shared details of a visit with local healthcare providers: "Great visit with the team at Ansert Foot & Ankle! Later that day, Houchin discussed her meeting with small business owners in Dearborn County: "This morning, I met with small business owners in Dearborn County for a roundtable discussion. Erin Houchin began serving as U.S. Representative for Indiana’s 9th district after succeeding Trey Hollingsworth in 2023. Before joining Congress, she served in the Indiana Senate from 2014 to 2022 and is originally from Salem, Indiana. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University Bloomington.
