Congresswoman Erin Houchin, who has represented Indiana’s 9th district since 2023, recently shared her experiences and insights through a series of tweets. Houchin, born in Salem, Indiana in 1976 and a graduate of Indiana University, Bloomington, participated in events that highlight the importance of American manufacturing.

On July 9, 2025, Houchin expressed her honor at joining the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) at Grote Industries to celebrate American manufacturing. She highlighted William Corwin's recognition as the winner of the AEM Challenge. "Honored to join the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) at @GroteIndustries to celebrate American manufacturing and recognize William Corwin, winner of the AEM Challenge."

Later that day, she emphasized the readiness of American manufacturing to rise from local factory floors across the nation. She referenced "The One Big Beautiful Bill," which she believes will usher in a new era for American industry characterized by growth and support for workers. "From the shop floor at @GroteIndustries to factory towns across the country, American manufacturing is ready to rise."

In another tweet on July 9th, Houchin connected "The One Big Beautiful Bill" with former President Trump's agenda. She asserted that this bill fulfills his promise to revitalize America’s greatness. "The One Big Beautiful Bill delivers on President Trump’s promise to Make America Great Again!"

Erin Houchin succeeded Trey Hollingsworth in Congress after serving in the Indiana Senate from 2014 until her congressional election.
