Congresswoman Erin Houchin, representing Indiana's 9th district since 2023, recently shared insights on various topics through her social media platform. The congresswoman, who succeeded Trey Hollingsworth and previously served in the Indiana Senate from 2014 to 2022, discussed upcoming events and legislative impacts.

On June 16, Houchin offered a sneak peek of the next episode of The Contender. She highlighted that in honor of Father’s Day, her guest would be SBA Administrator Kelly. They plan to discuss "the impact of strong fathers and their role in shaping the next generation of leaders." This special episode is anticipated soon.

Later that day, Houchin visited the Chicken House to talk with employees about financial legislation. In a post made at 22:17 UTC, she mentioned discussing what “no tax on tips” in the One Big, Beautiful Bill signifies for working families. According to her statement, this measure means "more money in their pockets."

On June 17, Houchin engaged with law enforcement officials regarding another aspect of the same bill. At 16:40 UTC, she reported having a "great conversation with the Jeffersonville Police Department" about how “no tax on overtime” benefits officers by providing financial relief and acknowledging their sacrifices.

Erin Houchin was born in Salem, Indiana in 1976 and currently resides there. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University Bloomington.
