Congresswoman Erin Houchin has announced the start of the 2025 Congressional App Challenge, inviting middle and high school students from Indiana’s Ninth Congressional District to participate. This initiative, started by the U.S. House of Representatives in 2015, encourages students to develop applications for various platforms including desktop, web, tablet, and mobile devices.
“The Congressional App Challenge is a fantastic opportunity for students to put their creativity and coding talents on display,” stated Congresswoman Houchin. “I’m always inspired by the innovation and skill our students bring to the table, and I look forward to seeing the submissions this year.”
The competition is open to all eligible students in the Ninth Congressional District of Indiana. Participants must submit their entries by October 30, 2025, at noon Eastern Time. Early registration is recommended for those interested in receiving contest details and updates.
A panel of expert judges will select a winner from the district. The winning application will be featured on congressionalappchallenge.us and may also be displayed in the U.S. Capitol alongside other national winners.
