Congresswoman Erin Houchin has announced the winners of the 2025 Congressional Art Competition for Indiana's 9th District. High school students from across the district submitted numerous pieces of artwork.

The first place and People's Choice award went to "Grapefruit" by Jordan Bailey from Scottsburg High School. The second place was awarded to "City of the Mind" by Devin Fox from East Central High School, and third place went to "Frenzied French Horn" by Zoey Parr, also from East Central High School.

"Congratulations to these talented students—and thank you to everyone who submitted artwork," said Congresswoman Houchin. "I’m proud to see so much creativity and passion from young artists across Indiana’s 9th District."

Jordan Bailey's winning piece will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol for one year, alongside other winning entries from congressional districts nationwide. Bailey will also attend a national reception in Washington, D.C., honoring all winners.

The Congressional Art Competition is an annual event sponsored by the U.S. House of Representatives aimed at recognizing and encouraging artistic talent within each congressional district.
