Congresswoman Erin Houchin, representing Indiana’s 9th district since 2023, recently shared updates on her social media platform. Her posts reflect ongoing initiatives and support for various sectors including agriculture, small businesses, and energy.

On May 8, 2025, Houchin expressed her satisfaction with developments in the agricultural sector by stating "A big win for farmers and ranchers!" The nature of this victory was not detailed in the tweet.

The following day, May 9, she acknowledged National Small Business Week by recognizing the role of entrepreneurs in community development. She tweeted "This National Small Business Week, we recognize the entrepreneurs who fuel our communities and strengthen our local economies. I’ll always support policies that help them grow, hire, and succeed."

Later on May 9, Congresswoman Houchin participated in an Energy Incentives Roundtable at River Ridge. In a subsequent post she highlighted discussions aimed at maintaining tax incentives beneficial to economic growth. She noted "Great discussion today at our Energy Incentives Roundtable at River Ridge with industry leaders from across Southern Indiana. We’re working to protect the tax incentives that are driving investment, creating jobs, and powering our local economy—without disrupting the momentum."

Erin Houchin has served as a U.S. Congress member since replacing Trey Hollingsworth in 2023 after serving in the Indiana Senate from 2014 to 2022. Born in Salem, Indiana in 1976 and holding a BS degree from Indiana University Bloomington, she continues to reside there while advocating for her constituents.
