The Grenadiers (7-6, 2-3 RSC) fell behind 18-13 but the Red Wolves used a 23-10 run to take a 41-23 lead with 3:40 left in the first half.
Christian Stewart provided the only offensive spark for the Grenadiers in the opening 20 minutes as he scored 13 of the Grenadiers 35 points in the opening 20 minutes.
IU Southeast shot just 2-of-9 from three-point range in the first half and allowed the Red Wolves to shoot 55 percent from the field and 8-of-17 from three-point range.
IU East led 53-35 at halftime.
The second half was a different story for the Grenadiers. IU Southeast outscored IU East 31-21 to cut the deficit to 74-66 with 8:11 to play after an Anthony Wales Jr. jumper.
After the teams traded baskets, Jocobi Hendricks hit a three-pointer to cut the lead to 76-71.
The Red Wolves answered with a three-pointer by Torey Billups and a three-point play by Jamisen Smith to extend the lead back to 10 points with under 5:30 to play.
Consecutive three-pointers by the Red Wolves put the game out of reach with under five minutes to play.
Christian Stewart finished with 28 points and 13 rebounds in the loss. Jocobi Hendricks had 13 points, Caleb Brown added 11 points off of the bench and Anthony Wales Jr. had 10 points.
The Grenadiers outscored the Red Wolves in the paint 46-30 but the Red Wolves held the advantage from the perimeter, outscoring the Grenadiers 45-24.
