The Town of Clarksville is preparing to celebrate the completion of its newest town facility. Several years ago, the Town contracted with Jacobi Toombs and Lanz Engineers to perform a needs analysis for the Public Works Department. Town officials then utilized this study to determine current needs, along with short term and long-term projected growth.
The decision was then made to construct a new facility that nearly doubles the square footage of the previous Public Works Facility. Construction on the $7.2 million dollar project began in Winter 2020 and is currently wrapping up. The facility also has a large undeveloped area which could be utilized for future growth.
“Our entire department is excited to be moving into a top tier facility,” said Clarksville Public Works Director Brad Cummings. “This new facility will allow us to better serve our residents and become an even more efficient department as a whole.”
To celebrate the completion of the project, that Town of Clarksville will be hosting a ribbon cutting and public open house on Wednesday, June 29th from 3:00-5:00pm. Following a short program, residents and members of the media will be invited to take a guided tour of the facility.
