Congresswoman Erin Houchin, who represents Indiana’s 9th district in the U.S. Congress, has recently shared updates on social media regarding local sports achievements, trade policy, and legislative efforts to support first responders.
On August 5, 2025, Houchin expressed her support for a local softball team: “Cheering on Floyds Knobs as they take the field at the Little League Softball World Series! Representing the Central Region on this stage is an amazing accomplishment—Southern Indiana is behind you all the way! “

Erin Houchin has served in Congress since 2023 after succeeding Trey Hollingsworth. Before her current role, she represented her community in the Indiana Senate from 2014 to 2022. Born in Salem, Indiana in 1976, Houchin continues to reside there and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University Bloomington.
