Congresswoman Erin Houchin, who represents Indiana’s 9th district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared a series of posts highlighting local business innovation, legislative initiatives, and her response to a national tragedy.

On August 25, 2025, Houchin praised Guardian Bikes in Seymour for its manufacturing efforts and credited former President Trump’s policies for fostering their growth. She wrote, “Guardian Bikes in Seymour is reshoring manufacturing and leading the way in American innovation thanks to President Trump’s pro-growth policies. Their story is a true example of entrepreneurship and perseverance. I’m proud to have @guardianbikes growing and thriving here in https://t.co/KR7wtDYzna”.

The following day, August 26, she visited Wright Implement, a John Deere dealership, to meet with farmers and discuss agricultural technology. Houchin stated, “Great to spend time with @WrightImp, a John Deere dealer, connecting with local farmers and customers to discuss the importance of precision agriculture. The Data BRIDGE Act that I recently introduced will improve rural broadband accuracy, giving farmers the reliable tools they https://t.co/vzloGpqIYR”.

On August 27, Houchin addressed an attack on children and families in Minneapolis. She posted: “Today’s devastating and senseless attack on worshipping children and families in Minneapolis is beyond comprehension. My heart breaks for the innocent lives lost and those left wounded. Please join me in lifting this community up in prayer. We are grateful for the swift and”.

Houchin has served as Indiana’s 9th District representative since 2023 after previously serving in the Indiana Senate from 2014 to 2022. Born in Salem, Indiana in 1976 and currently residing there at age 46, she holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University Bloomington.
