Later on the same day, Houchin shared her vision for the country’s financial roadmap via a budget resolution. Erin Houchin’s involvement in Congress began after replacing Trey Hollingsworth in 2023. Prior to this, she represented Indiana’s 47th district in the state senate from 2014 until 2022. Born in Salem, Indiana, she earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University, Bloomington.
